The cell has extensions and branches, so that it can communicate with other nerve cells, muscles and glands.

Muscle They contain many well-developed mitochondria to provide the energy for muscle contraction.

Xylem cells
There are hollow no top or bottom between xylem vessels, so there is a continuous column of water running through them.
Their walls become thickened and woody. They therefore support the plant. made from lignin
carry water and mineral ions from roots to stem and leaves
made from dead cells
Phloem cells
Dissolved sugars and amino acids(food made in leaves to rest of plants) can be transported both up and down the stem.
Made up of elongated living cells with small pores in end of walls to let cell sap flow through
