A
The growth of cells in size and volume

What is Cell Metaplasia?
A
The process whereby cells have a phenotype, size, shape, or functionality/metabolic change. eg. smoking causing Columnar cells to change to squamous in pulmonary epithelial lining

What is Cell Atrophy?
A
When the cell undergoes necrosis or apoptosis ie. shrinkage and death, due to lack of use or disease.

What is Cell Hyperplasia?
A
The multiplication and new growth in number of cells in cells with the ability to divide.
