Cell Cyccle And Cell Division Flashcards
Interphase
Cell dublicates its organelles and replicates its DNA more than 95% duration of cell cycle
Mphase or mitosis
Where the actuall ceel division occurs
Interphase stages
G1 phae , S phase , G2 phase
G1 phase
Cells does not replicate DNA but remains metabolically active
G1 phase functions
Synthesize nucleotides , ATP , proteins , amino acuds , RNA , MOST of the organelles duplicate occur in this place
S phase
Cell doubles its DNA , the amount of nucleic acid (genetic materia) doubles BUT the number of chromosome remains the same
Where does centrioles dublication takes place
Dna replication begins in the nucleus , and the centrioles dublication in cytoplasm
G2 phase
Tubulin protein synthesis takes place
Mitochondria, chloroplast and golgi body duplicate in this phase
Mitotic division
Mitotic division is only seen in diploid somatic cells , in plats mitotic division is seen in both haploid abd diploid cells
M phase
Karyokinesis , cytokinesis
In mitosis stages of karyokinesis
Prophase , metaphase , anaphase ,telophase
Prophase
It is the first phase of karyokinesis, condensation of chromatin material take place and DNA starts to get untangled
