Celiac trunk Flashcards
What are branches of the celiac trunk?
Splenic
Left gastric
Common Hepatic
What does the splenic artery branch into?
posterior gastric left gastro omental (left gastroepiploic) (in hilum) short gastric (in hilum) Great pancreatic artery dorsal pancreatic artery Caudal pancreatic artery
What is the course of the celiac trunk?
found at level L1
splits into the splenic and common hepatic arteries & left gastric
What is the course of the left gastric?
ascends retroperitoneal to esophageal hiatus
gives esophageal branch
descends the lesser curvature of the stomach
anastomose with the right gastric artery
What does the left gastric supply?
abdominal esophagus
lesser curvature of stomach
What is the course of the splenic artery?
runs retroperitoneal along superior border of pancreas
transverse splenorenal ligament in spleen hilum
What does the splenic artery supply?
body of pancreas
spleen
greater curvature
posterior stomach body
What is the course of the posterior gastric?
branches of spleen along wall of lesser omentum bursa, enters gastrosplenic ligament
what does the posterior gastric supply?
fundus of stomach
posterior wall
What is the course of the left gastro omental?
passes sin th egastrosplenic ligamebt in stomach to to greater curvature
anastomose with right gastro omental
What does the left gastro omental artery supply?
left portion of greater curvature of stomach
What is the course of the short gastric?
in layers of gastrosplenic ligament to funds of stomach
supplies the fundsus
What is the course of the common hepatic?
in the duodenalhepatic ligament
bifurcates into gastroduodenal & proper hepatic
right gastric
What does the hepatic artery supply?
liver gallbladder billary ducts stomach duodenum pancreas and lobes of liver
What are the branches of the common hepatic artery?
gastroduodenal
right gastric
proper hepatic
