It is any recorded information without considering its form or characteristics and includes,
without being limited to following, handwritten, typewritten or printed material; all drawn,
painted or engraved material; all sound recordings, voices, tapes or records and all types of
photographs and films, in negatives or processed, fixed or in motion
Documents
It is the protection of information of value from the enemy forces. This includes two types of
information classified and unclassified
Information Security
It is the removal of security classification from classified matter
Declassify
It is the act of changing the assigned classification of matter
Reclassify
It is the act of assigning to matter of higher classification to a classified document
Upgrading
It may consist of any formula, device, pattern or compilation of information which is used in
one’s business and gives the user advantage ova competitors who do not utilize or know it.
Trade secret
This is a person who has been authorized to work with classified according to the established
norms
Properly authorized Person
gives information without any consideration.
Informant
gives information in exchange of a reward or a price.
Informer
those who gives information through telephone with the hope that the informant cannot be identified.
Anonymous
reveals information of no consequences or value.
False Informant
moves around the center of criminals delight in surprising the police about bits of information
Self-aggrandizing
wants to get more information from the police more than what he gives.
Double Crosser
those who gives information concerning specialized cases. Usually they are regarded with a special treatment by the operatives.
Special/legitimate informant
gives information freely and willfully as a witness to a certain act.
Voluntary Informant
a person who is selected, cultivated, and develop into a continuous source of information.
Recruited Informant
a person who is selected, cultivated, and develop into a continuous source of information.
