What is a preposition?
A preposition relates a noun or pronoun to another word.
List the prepositions.

What is a helping verb?
A helping verb helps another verb assert action, being, or existence.
List the helping verbs.
do, does, did, has, have, had, may must, might, should, could, would, shall, will, can
What is a linking verb?
A linking verb makes an assertion by joining two words.
feel, become, remain, taste, seem, appear, look, sound, stay, smell, grow
(and then there’s the to be verbs)
am, are, is, was, were, be, being, been
(Those are helping and linking. They express a state of being. Linking verbs.)
