CBS: Cells/Organelles and Biomolecules Flashcards

1
Q

What is a cell?

A
  • A semi-independent (or independent if unicellular), living unit within the body containing the mechanisms for metabolism and growth and replication (by division)
  • Consists of an aqueous solution of organic molecules surrounded by a membrane
