Suzanne’s law
Entry into NCIC with no waiting period
Under Suzanne’s law Entry into NCIC will be made under the the following circumstances:
- 17 years or younger within 2 hours of receiving minimum data elements
- 18-20 must be entered in
- 21 and older only when disability, physical danger, involuntary, catastrophe, or other suspicious circumstances
Amber Alert Requirements
- Confirmed Abduction
- Child is under 18 years old
- Threat of serious bodily harm or death
- Info on suspect and/or vehicle
What is the statute someone can report being the victim of an S/A?
36 years old if victim discovers or reasonably should have discovered that he/she was a victim
43 years old if the victim does not discover (therapy)
