16
Q

RPM - LOW ROTOR RPM < 95%
(with audio)
Light will extinguish & audio cease when NR increases > 95%

A

REDUCE COLLECTIVE

CHECK THROTTLE FULL OPEN

17
Q

RPM - HIGH ROTOR RPM > 107% NR (without audio)

Light will extinguish when NR < 107%

A

INCREASE COLLECTIVE

REDUCE SEVERITY OF MANEUVER

18
Q

FADEC FAIL ON START
serious malfunction detected
(takeoff power may not be available in manual mode)

A

CLOSE THROTTLE IMMEDIATELY
ENGAGE STARTER TO REDUCE MGT
Maintenance action required before next flight

19
Q

FADEC FAIL IN FLIGHT
Along with FADEC FAIL audio, may result in an engine underspeed followed by an overspeed.
The FADEC MANUAL and MAN portion of the FADEC mode switch ARE ILLUMINATED WITHIN 2-7 seconds after FADEC fail warning
NR & NP may increase rapidly requiring positive movements of collective & throttle to control NR

A

MATCH THROTTLE BEZEL POSITON TO NG INDICATION
MAINTAIN 95-100% NR/NP WITH COLLECTIVE & THROTTLE
PRESS FADEC MODE SWITCH ONE TIME TO MUTE AUDIO WARNING (when in manual control)
LAND ASAPL, NORMAL SHUTDOWN

CAUTION: AFTER LANDING, ROLL THROTTLE FIRST THEN LOWER COLLECTIVE

20
Q

FADEC DEGRADED in flight

ECU operation is degraded, may result in NR droop, NR lag, or reduced max power capability

A

REMAIN IN AUTO MODE
FLY SMOOTHLY & NON AGGRESSIVELY
LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICAL

21
Q

FADEC DEGRADED with engine shut down

(indicates a recorded fault which has cleared itself during the previous flight or a current maintenance fault has been detected)

A

THROTTLE TO IDLE
if light extinguishes, fault is from previous flight
maintenance action is required prior to next flight

22
Q
FADEC FAULT
(PMA, MGT, NP, NG auto limiting circuits not functional)
A

REMAIN IN AUTO MODE
LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICAL
maintenance action is required prior to next flight

23
Q
FADEC MANUAL
(FADEC operating in manual mode – no auto governing available
AUTO RELIGHT (auto relight will also be illuminated)
A

FLY SMOOTHLY & NON AGRESSIVELY
MAINTAIN 95% NR TO 100% NR with throttle/collective movements
LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICAL

24
Q

RESTART FAULT

FADEC ECU has detected a fault which will not allow engine re-start in Auto mode

A

NO ACTION REQUIRED
maintenance action is required prior to next flight
IF COMBINED WITH FADEC DEGRADED, FADEC ECU has detected a mis-positioned metering valve for start
DO NOT ATTEMPT START – refer to Operation & Maintenance manual

25
Q
FUEL FILTER
(impending a/f fuel filter bypass)
A

LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICAL

CLEAN PRIOR TO NEXT FLIGHT

26
Q

30
Q

DUAL FUEL TRANSFER FAILURE
(L/Fuel XFR & R/Fuel XFR caution lights on)
If both xfr pumps fail, unusable fuel 151 pounds due to inability to transfer from fwd cell
Fuel will stop xfr at 344.1 lbs total fuel indicated

A

CHECK L/FUEL XFR R/FUEL XFR SWITCHES ON
DETERMINE QUANITY OF FUEL IN FWD CELL BY PUSHING FUEL QUANTITY BUTTON
SUBTRACT QUATITY OF FUEL IN FWD CELL FROM TOTAL TO DETERMINE USABLE REMAINING
PLAN LANDING ACCORDINGLY
LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICAL

31
Q

LOSS OF HDY PRESSURE
(grinding or howling from pump, increased force required to move flight controls, feedback forces evident during flight control movement)

A

AIRSPEED 70-100 KIAS
HDY CB PULL OUT
if hdy power not restored – HDY CB PUSH IN
if hdy power not restored – HDY SWITCH OFF
