Germany wanted its own Empire ‘a place in the sun’ - as did Italy.
What is ‘militarism’?
The belief in having a strong military force.
How did militarism lead to WWI?
All nations wanted the strongest army which resulted in an arms race. From 1906, Germany and Britain were competing to see who could build the most battleships.
