Sugar Act
The British raised tariff (tax) on sugar, the
colonists saw it as taxation without representation, and
the money was only going to England instead of the colonies.
Stamp Act
Imposed taxes on all legal documents they would have to pay to get a stamp on important files or papers.
Tea Act
This allowed the British East Indian Company to sell tea to the colonies without the normal colonial tax, it granted a monopoly on the trade in America to the East Indian Tea Company. This act lead to the widespread boycotts of tea through the colonies.
Intolerable Acts
These acts were passed to have more control over the colonies.

Boston Massacre
The towns people pelted snowballs at the guards shots were fired 11 colonists were hit and 5 died. Crispus Attucks- black man; first martyr.
Boston Tea Party
The crowd dressed as Indians boarded 3 vessels (ships) threw 9,000 pounds of tea overboard as a protest to the tax on tea.
