Boston Tea Party

A

Tea was very popular in the US
When the tax on tea was passed, the colonists were mad bc it was taxation w/o representation

To stop the boycott, English sold tea directly to colonists instead of merchants which lowered the price. However, it hurt merchants.
The colonists were angry bc they thought that it was a trick to get them to buy tea.
Then, the Sons of Liberty organized the Boston tea party which caused the Intollerable Acts
