- movement of ppl from large U areas to smaller R areas

What are the causes of urban-rural migration?
A
- better QOL: not overpopulated, lower crime rates, pollution + cost of living
- older retirees no longer tied to U areas for eco opps.
- inc. investments into R areas (esp. in HICs) so more job opps + better services
- better transport links + ability to work from home = makes it easier to live in R areas
