Family benefits such as free education and healthcare
If the policy was not obeyed, what were the consequences?
Huge fine that would bankrupt most people,
10% salary cut,
They would have to pay full fees for education and healthcare
The effects it had on women/ girls?
Some girls were left to die because sons were preferred,
Now there is a gender imbalance of 60 million,
There was a lot of pressure on women to not get pregnant (the man was never blamed)
How many women now still agree with having one child?
