Vertical - power, strength, spiritual meaning
Horizontal - harmony, peace, tranquility
Onlique/diagonal - action, confusion, movement, action
Jagged - tension, movement, uneasiness
How can lines be used to emphasize irony (3)
E.g. a cat swimming in a fish bowl horizontally is ironic because he is being the opposite to peaceful. He would want to eat the fish

Foreground:
- part of a scene/ picture that is situated closes to the vieer
Background:
- ground/scenery located behind something

- a shape/square containing/enclosing specific scene
