Q

When do the head and neck develop?

A

during 4-8 from an embryonic structure called the pharyngeal or branchial apparatus. The word branchial is sometimes used as this structure also forms the gills in fish. In humans, we used the word pharyngeal, as the pharynx is the crainial end of the foregut.
