Q

What are characteristics of fully functioning persons?

A

Exhibiting an awareness of all experience (no denial or defensiveness, open to all feelings). Live fully and richly in each moment (experiences are fresh and new, and participated in). Trust their own organism (trust their reactions and not opinion of others, behave in a way that feels right, all info can be perceived and evaluated). Feel a sense of freedom to make choices without constraints or inhibitions (they know their future depends on their own actions). Creative and live constructively and adaptively. (flexible and seek new experiences) They may face difficulties (testing, growing, striving, and using our potential). Fully functioning is a direction, not a destination.
