control and supervision of all Cargo Handling (CH) operations and other related services being performed by authorized CH Operators within the port zone.

a. Porterage Services
A person/entity who/which performs portside cargo handling operations.
Arrastre
- covers the shore-based Cargo Handling activities that include the following activity.
- receive and load cargoes from and to ship’s tackle with the use of dock (arrastre) gang and CH gears and equipment.
- deliver or transfer cargo onto or receive from truck’s tail of consignee or shipper’s transportation or ship’s tackle.
Arrastre Service
◦ Receiving of containers loaded or empty from vessels unto chassis or trailers provided by shipping lines.
Arrastre
Moving such containers on chassis or trailers from alongside carrying vessel to the storage area within the port zone designated for storing containers or CY.
Arrastre
Handling, stowing, and shifting containers within the port zone.

Loading of containers from place of storage within the port zone unto chassis or
trailers wither for delivery or transfer

Receiving, handling and stowing of container that are either loaded or empty
coming from CY outside the port zone.

Moving containers either loaded or empty from storage areas within the port zone and loading them unto vessels alongside the pier

Providing checking services to determine container marks and numbers and whether they are loaded or unloaded or unmanifested.

Include the work performed on board vessel.
Stevedoring Service
Is shipment items that require special handling. This type of goods can basically be transported by air transport and must meet the requirements and special handling.
Special Cargo
They do not require packing. They require suitable vessels with suitable handling gears.
Bulk (heavy equipment, machinery,
etc)
They need special care and protection. Direct delivery to the vessel and direct collection upon arrival of the vessel is advisable.
