Outline Metzloff and Moores aim, method, findings and conclusion
Aim: To investigate the caregiver infant interaction interactional synchrony in infants
Method: A controlled observation was conducted with an adult male model who would produce three different facial expressions towards a child. A dummy would be inserted into the infants mouth to prevent any facial expressions from taking place. They would then record the facial expressions of the child and take the dummy from them after one facial expression was produced by the adult male
Findings: They found that their was a clear link and association between the interactions of the child and the adult as the infant mirrored the adult male model
