no NSAIDs (bleeding risk), call doc if increased bleeding, don’t stop quickly
warfarin
no NSAIDs (bleeding risk), call doc if increased bleeding, don’t stop quickly, keep vit K and alcohol consistent, many drug interactions, take missed dose asap
rivaroxaban
call doc if unusual/prolonged bleeding/brusining, gastroenteritis, vomiting, cough (pediatric)
furosemide
sun sensitivity, decreased electrolytes (K, Ca, Mg), dizziness when standing, avoid taking at bedtime (increased urination)
spironolactone
gynecomastia, increased serum potassium, diarrhea, irregular menses
hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ)
sun sensitivity, dizziness when standing, avoid taking at bedtime (increased urination)
lisinopril
avoid when pregnant, dizziness, dry cough, headache, increases serum potassium
losartan
avoid when pregnant, dizziness, headache, increases serum potassium
amlodipine
leg swelling (edema), headache
metoprolol tartrate / metoprolol succinate
dizziness, fatigue (goes away within 7 days), take with food - better absorption, lowers heart rate, do not discontinue abruptly
