Q

How does Blood Volume add to cardiovascular drift?

A

It gradually decreases, there’s less blood and it’s more viscus.
Bloodflow back to the heart is slower due to the blood pushing against the vessel walls.
Ventricular ejection is much lower so SV decreases.

Q

How does Thermoregulation add to cardiovascular drift?

A

Leads to lower BP, less blood can make it back to the heart in the same amount of time.
Less blood into the heart, less blood out due to Starling’s Law.
