asa I= healthy patient
asa II- mild systemic disease
așa III- severe systemic disease
așa IV- severe systemic disease-constant threat to life
așa V- wont survive without operation (moribund)
asa VI= braindead
what drugs are commonly used to treat CVD?
statins, ace inhibitors (prils) , angeotensin II antagonists (sartans), antiplatelets (prevent blood clots)
what is meant by the INR of a drug
how long it takes blood to clot
at what INR should you postpone treatment ?
more than or equal to INR of 4.
what oral issue can ace inhibitors cause?
oral lichen- white patches/red swollen tissue/chronic inflammation
glossitis
what oral issue can calcium channel blockers cause?
gingival hypertrophy e.g amlodopine
