Acute Limb Ischaemia

A

Surgical

  • Check viability of limb (non-viable = tissue loss, nerve damage, sensory loss)
  • Assess for revascularisation or amputation on viability.

Medical

  • Antiplatelet (Aspirin or Clopidogrel)
  • Analgesia (Paracetamol and Opioid)
  • Anticoagulation (unfractionated heparin)

Conservative
- Lifestyle modification post-surgery

- Risk factor modification (diet, exercise, smoking)

Medical
- Antiplatelet (Aspirin or Clopidogrel)

Refer to Acute Limb Ischaemia if suspected
