What is acute coronary syndrome?
Group of conditions that suddenly stop or reduce blood flow to the heart.
What is coronary heart disease?
What is myocardial infarction?
Narrowing or blockage of the coronary arteries.
Heart attack caused by low or no blood flow to a portion of the myocardium.
What is angina (and unstable angina)?
Chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.
Unstable= heart doesn’t get enough blood flow and oxygen.
What is arrhythmia?
Irregular heart beat.
May be too slow, too fast, or with an irregular rhythm.
What is atrial fibrillation (AF)?
Irregular and often rapid heart rhythm.
Can lead to blood clots in the heart.
Increases risk of stroke, heart failure, and other complications.
What is supraventricular tachycardia (SVT)?
Condition where the heart suddenly beats much faster than usual.
