MOA: Atherosclerosis
Found Below Renal Artery and Above the Aortic Bifurcation

A 59 year old man has severe chest pain that radiates to the back with unequal BP on both arms. ECG shows no ST segment change but+ for troponin I. Dx? MOA? Primary Risk Factor?

A

Dx: Aortic Dissection
MOA: Medial hypertrophy of the vasa vasorum=>reduced blood flow to media=>weakened media with high BP=>Intimal Tearing
Risk: HTN
