Cardiogenic Inadequate Perfusion Flashcards
Preparation of Adrenaline infusion
Prepare 47mL Normal Saline in 50ml syringe, add 3mg Adrenaline.
1mL/hr = 1mcg/min
> ______mcg/min Adrenaline infusion likely to be harmful.
> 100 - consider fluid, accepting lower BP.
First-line intervention for cardiogenic inadequate perfusion without crackles
250mL fluid bonus
Repeat if chest remains clear and inadequate/extremely poor perfusion persists.
First line intervention if cardiogenic inadequate perfusion with crackles, or initial fluid bolus insufficient.
Adrenaline infusion commencing at 5mcg/min (5mL/hr) titration to SBP 100. (Max 250mcg/min). Consider IV bolus of 10mcg, increase to 50-100mcg IV boluses if syringe pump unavailable. Continue 250mL fluid boluses if chest clear up to 20mL/kg.
