Q

LDL > 190

A

For all patients with LDL-C ≥190 mg/dL (≥4.9 mmol/L), we do a work-up for familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) and, if present, treat accordingly.

If LDL more than 190, start high intensity statin.

** Atorvastatin 40-80 mg is considered high dose statin
** Rosuvastatin 20-40 considered high intensity

Q

PE workup

A

Order:
- CBC with differential and platelets
- Serum electrolytes
- BUN
- Creatinine
