Cardiac causes of cardiac arrest Flashcards
All patients should receive prior to PPCI
Platelet ADP receptor blocker eg.
- clopidogrel 600mg
- prasugrel 60mg
- ticagrelor 180mg
Absolute contraindications for PPCI
-previous haemorrhagic stroke
-ischaemic stroke during the previous 6 months
Central nervous system damage or neoplasm
Recent major surgery, head injury or major trauma
Active internal bleeding or GI bleeding within the past month
Known or suspected aortic dissection
Known bleeding disorder
All patients having fibrinolytic agent for STEMI require
Aspirin 300mg and ticagrelor 180mg or aspirin and clopidogrel if higher bleeding risk
Antithrombin therapy
- LMWH
-unfractionated heparin
-Fondaparinux
Unstable angina ECG findings
Normal
ST depression - acute myocardial ischaemia
T wave inversion
Treatment to prevent further thrombus formation in NSTE ACS
Fondaparinux 2.5mg OD
Aspirin 75mg OD after initial 300mg loading dose
