Cardiac Arrest Flashcards
Drugs for reversible causes
Consider early for PEA
NS Bolus, D10, Narcan, Glucagon (CCB/BB OD), Calcium Chloride (hyperkalemia/hypocalemia), Sodium Bicarb, Epi drip, Atropine (Only organized PEA<60), Chest decompression
Maternal arrest
OB & Post cardiac arrest ER, notify Medical Control, perform Manual Left Uterine Displacement
V-fib/Pulseless V-tach medications
Epi push, epi drip, Amio 300, Amio 150, Mag sulfate (Torsades)
ROSC
SPO2=90-99%, ETCO2=35-45, BP, 12-lead, cold fluids (non-trauma), 10 min wait before transport, Shock = Levophed drip, Treat bradycardia<60,
PEA/Asystole vs Vfib/Vtach Fluid bolus
PEA/Asystole - 2L
Vfib/Vtach - 1L
Target temp for hypothermia
