Q

Carbon Sequestration (In ocean)

A
  • In the ocean, phytoplankton and other marine organisms take in carbon through photosynthesis.
  • Oceans dissolve carbon dioxide, Splits the carbon dioxide apart, mixes with other molecules and creates an acid, carbonic acid (sequestration), bleaching coral and eroding shells of crustaceans.
  • Co2 combines with water and forms calcium formation of carbonate shells.

Q

Cellular respiration

A
  • Both plants and animals, take in oxygen and consume glucose, chemical reactions occur from the glucose, mixes glucose (carbon?) with oxygen and makes Co2 releasing it to the atmosphere.
