CO-Hb t1/2:
Room air- 5 hours,
100% O2- 1.5 hours,
Hyperbaric oxygen-0.5 hours
Fetus at higher risk

Signs and Symptoms:
Altered mental status, coma, seizure, abnormal vitals, acidosis, n/v, HA, myalgia

ASAP:
ABCs, IV, O2, monitor, VS (pulse ox is not accurate), EKG

Hx:
smoke inhalation, HA, DOE, N/V, dizzy/AMS/coma if severe, SAMPLE

Exam:
lethargy, sz, ↑HR, ↑RR, confusion, red lips or cyanosis

Labs:
ABG, CBC, BUN/Cr, lytes, gluc, CK/MB/Trop, UA, hCG

Tx:
100% O2 NRB til sx resolve

HBOT if…
CO > 25% (pregnant > 15%) AMS, FND, Sz, Resp failure, Infants, CN tox, pH < 7.2, Cardiac ischemia or arrhythmia
