- The polymers of carbohydrates
- Long linear or branched chains of monosaccharides.

What are the functions of polysaccharides?
A
- Glycogen: energy storage in animals
- Starch: energy storage in plants
- Cellulose: structure in plants (cell wall)
- Chitin: structure in fungi (cell wall) and animals but not mammals (exoskeleton)

A
