Cancer occurs when cells in the body grow and divide out of control. Normal cells grow and divide in a controlled way. Cancer cells are abnormal cells.
How are tumours formed?
When cancer cells grow and divide without stopping, they begin forming tumors. Some cancers, like leukemia, do not form tumours.
What is hormone therapy in cancer treatment?
A hormone is a chemical in your body that helps different parts of your body know how to work or grow. Some cancer cells need hormones to grow. Hormone therapy can slow down the growth of cancer.
What is biological therapy in cancer treatment?
Biological therapy uses your immune system to kill cancer cells.
What is stem cell transplant therapy in cancer treatment?
A stem cell transplant uses stem cells to replace cells that are not working in your body.
What factors influence how your cancer is treated?
