Physical (ultraviolet and ionising radiation), chemical (asbestos, tobacco smoke, aflatoxin), biological (viruses, bacteria, parasites)
What are the two major chronic respiratory diseases?
COPD and asthma

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
What are som risk factors for chronic respiratory diseases?
Tobacco use, occupational exposure, indoor pollution, childhood exposure

Breathlessness and predisposes to exacerbations and illness

Not curable but symptoms can be relieved and thus the risk of death goes down
