What is Hiding?
Hiding is used to conceal the body from observation by lying behind an object or thick vegetation.
What is Blending?
Blending is used to match personal camouflage with the surrounding area to a point where the shooter cannot be seen.
What is Deceiving?
Deceiving is used to fool the enemy into false conclusions about the location of the sniper team.
What is Natural Camouflage?
Natural Camouflage is vegetation or materials native to the given area. The shooter augments their appearance by using natural camouflage.
What is Artificial Camouflage?
Artificial Camouflage is any material or substance produced for the purpose of coloring or covering something in order to conceal it.
What is the striping pattern?
A camouflage pattern used in heavily wooded areas or areas where leafy vegetation is scarce.
What is the blotching pattern?
A camouflage pattern used in areas thick with leafy vegetation.
What is the combination pattern?
A camouflage pattern used when moving through changing terrain.
What is most effective in snowy terrain?
Blending of colors is better than texture
Heavy snow or snow covered trees, full white
Snow on ground but not trees, white trousers w/ camo tops.
What is most effective in desert terrain?
Blending of tan and brown colors

Textured camouflage
