What is an establishing shot?
establishes where the action takes place by setting the scene
What is a wide shot?
often used as a n establishing shot, the point of this shot is to show the subjects surroundings
What is a long shot?
shows all or most of a fairly large subject and usually much of the surroundings
What is a medium long shot?
knees to head with some background
What is a medium shot?
waist to head shot
What is a medium two shot?
waist to head of two people in one shot
What is a medium close up shot?
a shot of both the head and shoulders
What is a close up shot?
Shows a characters face and used to show emotion
What is an extreme close up shot?
a very tight shot of a close up of a specific feature like an eye of a face
What is a over the shoulder shot?
Used during a conversation, looks over the shoulder of the person speaking from behind
What is a high angle shot?
A shot taken from a high angle to make the subject look powerless
What is a low angle shot?
A shot taken from a low angle to make the subject look big and powerful
What is a deep shot?
This is when something is in the foreground and something else is in the background
