Calculations Flashcards
1
Q
When is the RoR fastest:
A
At the start of the reaction
2
Q
When is the RoR slowest:
A
When all the particles have collided
3
Q
What happens to the RoR during a reaction:
A
It slows down until it stops
4
Q
How do you find out the RoR at any given point on a graph:
A
Use the given point and draw a line at 90* to the point. Make the line into a triangle at a good point and divide the rise by the run (or the change in y by the change in x)
5
Q
Formula for mean rate of a reaction:
A
RoR = amount of reactant used/product formed / time
6
Q
3 ways to measure RoR:
A
Look for a precipitate/colour change, change in mass, volume of gas released
