Types of detectors and use

Smoke radiation and heat
Smoke
Ionisation
Early detection mall particles enter chamber, smoke is ionised and sets it off. False alarms dust etc
Optical - larger particles / dense smoke beam of light scattered.
Radiation
Infrared - scans area , instantaneously set of by light radiation, warehouses must have line of sight.
Ultra violet- same as infra but specialist areas
Heat
Fixed temp
Thermocouple or fusible link, designated temp etc
Rate and rise resistors, rate at temp rises or when temp is reached.
