What are the advantages of quarrying limestone?
Gives more job opportunities/ provides more houses and roads/ it’s cheaper than granite and marble/ business owner will be paying taxes to the local area/ over time can look pretty
What are the disadvantages of quarrying limestone?
Destroys habitats and landscapes/ very loud and disturbing to local areas/ Lorraine’s use diesel so will pollute area/ destroying natural beauty/ energy is needed and will likely come from fossil fuels which causes pollution
What is limestone made from?
Limestone is made from creatures living between 440 and 70 million years ago, it is sedimentary rock.
