A German Public Limited Company (Aktiengesellschaft-AG) is a company having a legal personality of its own. It ownership is organized via shares of stock. As a general rule, the shares of stock can be transferred by the sockholders.
CTIC Conservation Technology Information Center

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was adopted by the European Parliament on April 14, 2016. It came into effect on May 25, 2018, replacing the Data Protection Directive from 1995. The GDPR aims to give individuals greater control over their personal data and standardizes data protection laws across the European Union.

Personal Information and Protection and Electronic Documents Act
In Canada, the main federal law governing data privacy is the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). PIPEDA sets the ground rules for how businesses must handle personal information in the course of their commercial activities. It outlines the principles organizations must follow when collecting, using, or disclosing personal information.
Some provinces, like Quebec, British Columbia, and Alberta, have their own privacy laws that have been deemed “substantially similar” to PIPEDA. In those provinces, the provincial law applies instead of PIPEDA but only for intraprovincial matters. PIPEDA still applies to federal organizations and to cross-border, interprovincial, and international transactions.
Additionally, Canada has other laws and regulations that address data privacy in specific sectors, such as healthcare. Overall, Canada aims to balance individual privacy rights with the needs of businesses to collect and use personal data for legitimate purposes.
