- Good employee communication
- Focus on core values
- Recruitment and training tries to find those who best fit the culture of the business
- The culture is usually based around the history, tradition and founders of the business

- Demotivated workforce
- Inconsistent customer service
- Poorly managed
- Very bureaucratic and lacks flexibility to respond to dynamic markets

- One central figure who makes the decisions
- There are few rules and procedures
- Competitive attitudes amongst employees

- Decisions are made through well established rules and procedures
- The power to make decisions comes from the job title
- Very bureaucratic culture
- E.g. Civil service

A
- Focus is on a project that needs to be completed
- Power comes from those who can accomplish the tasks and have the expertise
- Involves teamwork between experts

- Grouping of similar skilled people to share expertise and knowledge
- All work on a client by client basis
- E.g. Lawyers, accountants, Doctors
