Internal Vs. External Customers
External customers are those who see your company mainly as a provider of something they buy. Internal customers participate in your business by actually being a part of it.
Grapevine
a type of informal communication that takes place within an organization. It is the sharing of information and rumors by employees, without the involvement of management.
Upward Communication
the process in which employees provide feedback to their managers and company leadership
Downward Communication
important messages flow from upper management down to lower-level employees
Horizontal Communication
communications among people, departments or teams at the same level in an organization
Stages of the writing process
Planning, writing, editing, proofreading, revising
Steps to conduct research
Planning the search, locating sources of information, organizing the information, evaluating the sources, use information to prepare a report
Reference Manual
intended to assist users in using a particular product, service or application.
Periodical
anything that comes out periodically. Magazines, newspapers, and journals
Encyclopedia
a book or set of books giving information on many subjects
Skimming Vs Scanning
Skimming is reading rapidly in order to get a general overview of the material. Scanning is reading rapidly in order to find specific facts.
