Provides guidance for Navy-wide QA program implementation
Monitors implementation of QA programs in fixed and non-fixed MTFs and DTFs
Submits annual QA report
Type Commanders Responsibilities (2)
Implement and coordinate TYCOM-wide QA program
Ensure QA assist visits to each subordinate MTF and DTF
COs, OIC, SMDR responsibility
Implement QA program guided by a written plan
Annual QA program assessment reporting requirement
Submitted by 15 January of each year
Noscomial Infection
INPATIENT AQUIRED INFECTION. Becomes apparent after 72 hours.
PCE
Event during process of med/dent care where patient suffers lack of improvement
None or minor (3 examples)
Example = appendectomy with no delay in recovery, missed diagnosis of a fracture and healing with no residual deformity, delayed recovery from anesthesia
Temporary (2 examples)
Example = Falls with laceration or fracture, fracture of tooth during anesthesia.
Long-term permanent (2 examples)
Fall with resultant neurological injury, health forearm fracture with loss of motion or feeling in wrist or elbow.
