Tiberius never erected any noble buildings during his reign
- only built temple of Augustus and pompeys theatre which he left unfinished
- he never entertained people with public spectacles and hardly present at ones given by others

- built two aqueducts, bangs by Caligula and restored a third

- Nero accused Christians of starting the fire to remove suspicions from himself. Many Christians arrested and brutally executed ( burnt alive )
- Nero was in Actium and returned to offer relief which he paid for with his own money - opened palace for homeless

Built by Vespasian in Rome , 71 AD but completed largely by Domitian
- funds acquired by Vespasian sacking of Jerusalem and interior decorated with treasures collected there
- A symbol of peace and prosperity he was able to bring to Rome
