The 4 noble truths, the eightfold path, karma and samsara
What are the four noble truths
Dukkha, Tanha, Nirvana and the eightfold path
What is dukkha
This is the unesase or dissatisfaction of life. This is heightened during fear of old age, illness, etc.
What is Tanha
This is the cause of suffering – desires and wants are the cause of all suffering.
What is Nirvana
the cure of suffering – desires being removed – eternal state of being
What is the eightfold path
the steps towards enlightenment

what is right speech
Involves noticing what youre saying and learning about yourself via hearing. This also involves not speaking negatively.
what is right behaviour
No killing, stealing, lying, drugs + alcohol
What is right livlihood
Becoming a monk or something that will leave plenty of time for your resolve or have an occupation that promotes life. Against prostitutes, butchers, sellers of poisons, etc.
waht is right efforts
Having all actitivties with the same aim – to reach enlightenment. Avoid actitvties that don’t contribute to spiritual advancement
what is right mindfulnes
Mind is chief – becoming more aware of what your doing and why. As consciousness raises – ignorance is dispelled and can act better towards enlightenment.
what is right meditation
Raja Yoga frees from all distractions to enlightenment. Results in spiritual regeneration.
What is karma
Law of cause + effect in persons life Individuals are responsible for own suffering and or happiness. Good morals = good states, bad morals = bad states.
What is samsara
The cycle of suffering birth and rebirth cycle.
The only way to escape is through enlightenment
