  • Baby suffering after birth, baby growing because of control over parents being told what to do. Therefore, you suffer as a child and this suffering will continue throughout life.

Goal: Nirvana

  • Compared to Moksha
  • The end of desire is the end of suffering. Nirvana is that state of non-craving.
  • The goal is having no desire this state is Nirvana
  • Non craving, non-desire
  • There is a way out through nirvana
  • Complete extinguishing desire “blowing out the flame(desire)

Nirvana is achieved by following the 8 fold path prescribed by the Buddha
“Meditation brings wisdom, lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what hold you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom.”
