What is Reincarnation in Buddhism
A
- The process of being reborn after death
- Any thought, word or action
conditioned by desire, hate, passion, and illusion creates karma. The effects of karma are carried across lifetimes, karma influences how you are reborn (what life you will live).

What is Dharma in Buddhism
A
- Dharma is the doctrine, the universal truth common to all individuals at all times, proclaimed by the Buddha.
- The moral and physical laws ruling the universe is the path to Nirvana.

What is Samsara in Buddhism
A
- The cycle of repeated birth, mundane existence and dying again, without beginning or end
- Samsara is considered to be dukkha (pain/suffering), unsatisfactory and painful, perpetuated by desire and avidya (ignorance), and the resulting karma.
- Rebirths occur in six realms of existence, namely three good realms and three evil realms.

What is the Bodhisattva Ideal in Buddhism
A
- A person who is able to reach enlightenment but postpones doing so through compassion to others who are suffering.
- This person helps others get to the point of enlightenment, once they are at the gate themselves.

- Truth of Suffering
- Truth of the Cause of Suffering
- Truth of the End of Suffering
- Truth of the Path that Leads to the End of Suffering (eightfold path)

A
- Nirvana is a place of perfect peace and happiness, life heaven.
- Nirvana is the highest state that someone can attain, a state of enlightenment, meaning a person’s individual desires and suffering go away.
