What is the first noble truth?
A
“Dukkha happens everywhere all the time”
- the Buddha and everything in the world is dukkha because nothing is perfect.
- every life has karma from the previous life and so we suffer because of our actions in the previous life
- every life has something wrong with it and this will continue until you reach nirvana.

What is the second noble truth?
A
“Dukkha is caused by greed and selfishness”
- everybody is basically selfish
- We all tend to think about ourselves more than others and we are more concerned about what we want to do than others.
- selfishness arises because of suffering and being reborn is really selfish so we should try and break this cycle.

What is the third noble truth?
A
“Greed and selfishness must be stopped”
- when you no longer want anything. When you see beyond yourself.
- break the rebirth cycle
- freedom is called nirvana

What is the fourth noble truth?
A
“The way to stop selfishness is to follow the noble eightfold path”
- path to nirvana
- stand on firm ground
- a way to find firm ground
