Explain stage theories
Changes occuring from one stage to another make children qualitatively different and they are biologically programmed to pass through the same qualitatively different stages in the same order. The child cannot progress to the nexrt stage without mastering the current stage.
What are the 5 Freudian stage and explain each stage
- Oral stage- infants pleasure centers on mouth
- Anal stage- Childs pleasure focuses on anus
- Phallic stage- Childs pleasure focuses on genitals
- Latency stage- Child repress sexual interest and develops social and intellectual skills
- Genital stage- A time of sexual reawekening
