Q

What are the key differences between 2015 version and 2023 version of BS8500

A
  1. 2015 had option of one SCM. 2023 has multi component SCM
  2. Characteristic strength does not any more govern resistance to XD and XS class. reducing the risk of low clinker cements being ruled out.
  3. Characteristic strength is the limiting factor for XC. Depth of carbonation and strength were observed to have a strong correlation.
